이 곡 역시도 오래전에 미국 친구로부터 추천을 받아서 알게 된 곡 중의 하나이다. 경쾌한 리듬 속에서 펼쳐지는 멜로디가 듣는 사람들을 하여금 기분 좋게 만드는 듯 하지만, 실제로 이 곡의 가사를 살펴보면 왠지 반전이라고 할 수 있을 정도로 이해가 잘 가지 않는 그러한 곡이라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 얼핏 보면 제목처럼 "LOVE SONG"으로 사랑노래일 것 같지만, 가사에서는 전혀 다른 내용을 노래하고 있으니 말이다. 사랑 노래라고 하고, 왠지 모르게 이별을 준비하는 그러한 이별송이라고도 할 수 있을 것 같기도 하고 말이다.

가사 중간중간 들어보면, 이런 가사가 등장한다. 나는 사랑노래를 쓰지 않을 거라는 내용을 담은 부분, 그 이유는 네가 요구했기 때문에... 그리고 네가 필요로하기때문에... 라는 이유 등을 들고 있는데, 아마도 잘 만나던 두 사람이 이제는 슬슬 헤어질 떄가 다가왔는가보다 싶다. 권태기가 다가와서 이제는 더 이상 만나려 하지 않는, 이별을 준비하는 가사라고 할 수 있을 것 같기도 하고, 노래를 듣다가 혹시나 2절이나 후반부에서 다시 반전가사가 등장할까 하는 기대를 해보았지만 그렇지는 않은 것 같다. 그래서 참... 이 곡은 애매한 그러한 곡이라고 할 수 있을 것 같기도 하다.

마치, 우리나라 가수인 "다비치"의 곡과 비슷한 느낌이 들기도 한다고 할까? 정말 슬픈 가사의 노래를 웃으면서 부르는 그들의 모습이 떠오르는 그러한 장면이다. 이 곡 역시도 이렇게 슬픈 내용을 웃으면서 행복하게 부르는 그러한 반전있는 노래라고도 할 수 있을 것 같고...
